The grand opening of the William Jefferson Clinton Children's Center, otherwise known as USGBC's Project Haiti, will take place in April 2018 in Port au Prince.

When the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 left hundreds of thousands of children in need of care, the need for a healthy, resilient children's center was obvious. Through the combined efforts of USGBC, the Fondation Enfant Jesus, the Clinton Foundation and many other partners including Seventhwave, construction has been under way to build a LEED Platinum orphanage that can also serve as a community resource in times of emergency.

Seventhwave staff including Connor Jansen, Jennifer Li, Drew Morrison and others contributed their technical expertise to insure that the kids who live in this home—orphans in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere—will have clean air to breathe, lighting that contributes to healthy sleep, low energy use, and low operating and maintenance costs. And it’s a beautiful building: LEED Platinum, WELL Platinum, and a center for the entire community.
