Steve focuses on the links between disruptive competition, corporate strategy and finance in the utility industry. He has worked nationally on issues affecting regulated utilities for over three decades and has testified as an expert witness before regulatory commissions across the country. A sought-after speaker, Steve has earned a reputation for delivering smart, inspiring and energetic presentations. He has authored numerous policy papers including articles in the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and the Energy Law Journal and has been interviewed by reporters from the Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

Steve earned his MBA in Finance and M.S. in Quantitative Analysis from UW-Madison's Graduate School of Business and a BS with highest honor in economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Senior Fellow at Michigan State University's Institute of Public Utilities.
