Impacts of climate change on the energy use and economics of NASA facilities

Published: 2013

The goal of this project was to examine the impacts of climate change on the energy use and operating costs at NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC), located in southern Mississippi.

Specifically, we quantified the expected impacts on future energy consumption, peak energy demand and energy costs due to climate change at the SSC facility.

We also developed potential adaptation approaches through the application of energy efficiency technologies.
