Howard Wolfman PE
In his current role as Principal for Lumispec Consulting, he provides guidance on energy efficiency lighting and management of efficiency improvements. Howard serves as an adjunct full professor in the graduate department of the College of Engineering of the University of Illinois at Chicago, as the chair of various Canadian Standards Association sub-committees and as a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America Controls Protocol Committee.
He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and has served on the institute's Board of Directors. He was appointed to the 2010 and 2011 Lightfair Innovation Awards Selection Committee and was a past chair of both the National Electrical Manufacturers Association Lighting Systems Division and the American National Standards Institute Lighting Committee. He has held a technical advisory role on the U.S. National Committee for IEC TC 34C and is a past member of four Underwriters Laboratory Standards technical panels.
Howard earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana–Champaign and a master's degree from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
