Join us to take a look at the real costs associated with running compressed air systems. We’ll review case studies and actual compressed air system components. A systematic approach to enhance system performance will be discussed and detailed actions will be outlined in order to identify opportunities to save energy, such as heat recovery, and increase productivity. A management program, including leak management, will be addressed to ensure these systems continue to operate at their optimal level of performance.

Hank van Ormer has been associated with the compressed air and gas business for over fifty years. During this time, he has audited hundreds of compressed air systems throughout the United States, including plants associated with General Motors, Nestlé, Saint-Gobain, IBM, John Deere, General Electric, Boeing and Ford. Hank has hands-on knowledge in operating and maintaining compressed air equipment—knowledge that was developed from years of experience in servicing and overhauling compressed air equipment. His compressor and ancillary equipment experience includes nearly every make, model and manufacturer.
In 1986, Hank founded Air Power USA, an independent and brand neutral consulting company focusing on compressed air equipment and systems. He has developed accredited training courses for continuing education and a complete curriculum for technical colleges. He has led nearly 100 training workshops for plant engineers, maintenance staff and purchasing managers.
Hank and Air Power USA have been leaders in innovative compressed air system design utilizing both conventional approaches and those developed by Air Power such as using large header collection designs instead of bypass piping and creating piping layouts to minimize turbulence-generated back pressure delivering system stabilization.
