Better Buildings: Better Business Conference 2017

Keynote is not your average talking head

Peter YostThere are two very different ways to assess our work in the home building industry—evaluate statistics or look in the mirror. During his keynote address our unconventional speaker, Peter Yost, will do both.

He’ll get to the heart of these questions and more: How do YOU think we can build better buildings and businesses? From a national perspective, what is the data telling us about building better buildings and businesses? And, what does all of this mean for you?

One person, widespread impact

Educator of the Year: Sara Windjue, KEEP Senior Outreach Specialist

Sara WindjueSara works to develop kids into lifelong environmental stewards. Through the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program, Sara’s worn many hats and employed countless creative strategies to increase energy literacy in Wisconsin.

During her 10-plus year career at KEEP, Sara’s developed a building science and renewable energy concepts framework; as well as an online renewable energy course for teachers. She’s helped them integrate energy education into STEM and CTE offerings; get renewable energy systems installed at schools and brought 60-plus to the Better Buildings: Better Business Conference. Sara’s also encouraged and motivated sustainable behaviors in students through gamification.

Come, celebrate the impact Sara’s made—during the General session, we’ll learn more about Sara’s work and honor her as the 2017 Seventhwave Educator of the Year.
